Do you have a piece of furniture, an old book, or a picture that has been in your family for a long time? Is there someone notable in your family?

Ancestor: a person from whom you are descended. Pedigree Chart: a document that records your ancestors. Genealogy: the research and study of family history/ancestors. Generation: a family group representing a single step to an ancestor. Archive: a place where public records or historical documents are kept. Census: the numbering & collecting of information about our population by the government.
