Key 1: Get Ready! Tips for getting ready: Set the time and the place in advance. Create a positive atmosphere. Identify what you want to accomplish. 4

5 Ask Questions Two types of questions: Use open-ended questions to help clarify and explore each objective. Open-ended questions: Can’t be answered yes or no Encourages the employee to give more information Close-ended questions: Can be answered yes or no Doesn’t require clarification

Company’s Goal:85% of customer calls answered within 30 seconds. Tie the goals together: Find a Call Service Skills course for the employee to attend. Collaborate on a new goal: After completing a Call Service Skills course the employee will demonstrate a 5% increase in service level. 7
