4 How Does Human Trafficking Affect Society Today?  Estimates of 27 million slaves in the world today  15-20 million is bonded labor in India, Pakistan, Bangledesh & Nepal  Slaves in almost every country in the world  Women & children are the majority

5 Mission of Freedom Network  Ensure that trafficked persons are treated as victims and not criminals, and are able to have full access to justice.  Increase public awareness of the crime of trafficking through education, research, training and community outreach.  Engage in sponsorship at the local, national and international levels on behalf of trafficked persons and for full prosecution of all traffickers.  Develop networks in the United States to link with international networks in order to carry out these above activities. 6 Freedom Network  Freedom Network (USA), which was established in 2001, is an association of 25 non-governmental organizations that provide services to, and advocate for the rights of, trafficking survivors in the United States.  Members of the Freedom Network (USA) have provided services to trafficked persons in many ways.
