4. ALMOND BARRIERS PROJECT –OVERVIEW RAFTS and SEPA are working in partnership to deliver a programme of works to improve fish passage at barriers across Scotland. This work will contribute to the improvement of the physical condition of Scotland’s water environment. Collaborative study between RAFTS, River Forth Fisheries Trust and SEPA. Funded through WEF and HLF

8. ALMOND BARRIERS PROJECT –AIM To improve migratory fish passage on the River Almond To address the cumulative effect of 7 weirs on the River Almond on the migratory fish population. To open up over 30kms of fish habitat to migratory fish on the River Almond and improve the ecological status of the River Almond.

13. ALMOND BARRIERS PROJECT - WORK TO DATE Phase one completed in 2014 Initial investigative surveys completed. Initial understanding of potential constraints at each of the 7 structures

14. ALMOND BARRIERS PROJECT -THE OPTIONEERING PHASE Began in April 2015 Full range of options being considered. All criteria taken on board when assessing the options. Options for specific structures will be presented at a second workshop at the end of the summer.
