Monday, August 25, 2003 10:00a.m.-3:00p.m. A Program of Kentucky Welcome 500-1000 first-year students, upper-class students, faculty and staff members working together to complete approximately 50 service projects throughout Lexington and Fayette County

Background Choose one of approximately 50 service project sites! Get to know your service team members! Make a difference in the community! Celebrate with food, music, and fun with your new friends! Join between 500-1000 other students!

Who is Involved? The UK FUSION project teams will consist of new and returning UK/LCC students. There will also be faculty and staff team leaders. This is a great opportunity to get to know others by being a part of a small group (15-20 people) You will have a day filled with fun, laughter, new friendships, and a chance to get involved! Schedule/Date 10:00a.m. Arrive at Haggin Field for FUSION check-in All registered participants will be served continental brunch. As you eat, you will be encouraged to consider the volunteer sites/teams available. For instance one team leader may be taking a team to the Hope Center (homeless shelter) while another team leader will be leading team to the Lexington Center of Health and Rehabilitation. After you have considered your options, you will join a team of students who have similar service interests. (Please arrive on time so we verify registration and so you can choose a project team) 10:30a.m. Get to know your team members Your team leaders will guide everyone in your group through introductions and ice breaker team builders 11:00a.m. Buses leave for service sites Transportation is provided. All participants must utilize bus transportation. 11:15-2:30 Service performed at project sites 3:00 Return to campus and celebrate your accomplishments!
