Scope, concept Comprises provision of services to meet the cultural, entertainment, recreational and sports interest of customers Comprises operation of facilities that enable the above Usually provided through direct contact with the user of such services (in performances, museums, live events, etc) Responds to increasing need for better recognition of specific categories

Portions of ISIC Rev.3.1 section O have been placed as below: old division 90 to ISIC Rev.4 draft Section E ( water supply, sewerage…) old division 92 broadly split between “Information and communication” section and “Arts, entertainment and recreation section” old 9211, 9212, 9213 and 9231 in “Information and communication” section The remaining two divisions 91 and 93 in new section S The arts, entertainment and recreation portion of old 92 has been elevated to a section, stressing the importance for recognition of such activities

Photojournalists with photographic activities Journalists- with news agency activities (Information) or with writers? Activities of “promoters” i.e. activities of producers or entrepreneurs of live events with or without facilities Split three ways according to the art or recreation activity performed: in 8000 (performing arts), 8319 (sports), 8329 (other amusement or recreation) this treatment is consistent with ISIC Rev. 3.1
