IAEA/INIS 11 th JTC Agenda Item 3.2  Item 3 already mentioned the 3 common manuals shared by INIS and ETDE  Guide to Bibliographic Description is also shared, but it preceded the joint series  This agenda item addresses the current status of these manuals and asks for discussion about next steps.  First to be discussed is the joint thesaurus

IAEA/INIS 11 th JTC Agenda Item 3.2 (cont.)  ETDE/INIS subject categories and Scope Descriptions  Official version printed in 2002 as part of joint series  Need for updating is less than for the thesaurus  But, newer technologies/vocabulary do evolve and it could be time for an update  Review could be accomplished by a small subgroup of members with the ETDE OA and INIS Secretariat

IAEA/INIS 11 th JTC Agenda Item 3.2 (cont.)  ETDE/INIS Manual for Subject Analysis  Published informally in 1996 and revised later to include new category schema and additional examples  Formal printing in 2002 as part of joint series  Fundamental rules change little; but, could be time to see if an update is needed and/or new examples  Might also consider adding advice on using results from the CAI tool
