Show & Sell / Show & Deliver

Plan enough show and sell dates/times/locations to make everyone able to participate Display product in organized fashion with extra cases and clutter under table & out of view Scouts in uniform with shirts tucked in Speak clearly and use eye contact Be kind and courteous (please and thank you’s) Display your units activities and/or service projects so your prospective customer can see what they are supporting Make sure you keep Scouts busy so rough play does not occur with boredom, incorporate some Scouts skills (knot tying skills) Remember: if you are at a store front you want to conduct yourself appropriately, you are the image of the Sagamore Council Boy Scouts of America and your unit! Store Front – Show & Sell You can either contact the local vendor for permission or contact your District Kernel and they can assist you in securing a location for Show and Sell. You must always have the permission of the facility due to liability reason

Show & Deliver Show and Deliver can be done as a unit or individual Scouts can either check out product from their unit kernel and go door to door making sales, delivering product and collecting monies OR Have a group of Scouts go out and canvas a neighborhood together. Put product in wagons or easy to carry bags. This could even work with a Pack/Troop combo. What better way to sell though – sell, deliver & collect all in one stop!

Take Order Forms Chocolate Lover’s Collection Chocolatey Pretzels White Chocolatey Pretzels Chocolatey Caramel Crunch Chocolatey Triple Delight Sweet & Savory Collection Butter Toffee White Cheddar Cheese Chocolatey Triple Delight Take your “Take Order Form” when doing Show and Deliver. Maybe your prospective customer would like to purchase a chocolate product that’s not available during show & Sell / Show & Deliver

Celebrate your Success as a unit Have an ice cream social or pizza party to wrap up a day of sales This would be a good opportunity to tabulate the sales totals Share your successes and failures Talk about area’s or specific sales that have room for improvement Add an incentive for the highest seller to increase motivation for next sales date Incorporate a mystery house Most Important Make if FUN!
