Adoption Brochure Our brochure, the most time consuming portion of this collaboration, was created for new potential pet parents and foster pet parents, or people who are just looking for more information about the Humane Society of Central Texas. Its cool blues and greens coupled with adorable pictures of pets is an accurate depiction of the warm, welcoming environment the Humane Society has. The brochure highlights all of the important aspects of the non-profit, from the different ways you can help change a pet’s life to the many charitable programs offered year round. This brochure is meant to be used on a continual basis. Should any of this information change, the Humane Society has been provided with an electronic copy of the document that can easily be altered to suit their needs. Please Adopt Me Sam

Press Release This press release was designed to gain publicity for the Humane Society of Central Texas’ event, The Million Dollar Hole-in-One Shootout. The press release would be sent out to all major publications in the Waco area, such as, The Wacoan, The Waco Tribune- Herald, and The Waco Citizen. It highlights the event’s time and location as well as information about the charitable aspects of the event. The press release also includes information about the Humane Society, its mission, and contact information.

Animal Profiles We created the animal profiles for the Petango website the Humane Society of Central Texas participates in. The website is a tool that helps speed the adoption process up by providing future pet parents with a photo and brief description of each of the pets in the Humane Society’s care. Due to the large number of animals in need of loving homes, the Humane Society does not have the time to write a description for all of their pets, so as a team we chose a select number of animals to highlight. Each animal description is designed to stand alone on each animal’s personal profile. Some of the animals will only be given to homes as a matched set, and as such, are listed together. The profiles are meant to inspire people to stop their search for a loving pet and adopt from the Humane Society of Central Texas.

Paws in the Park Flyer The flyer for “Paws in the Park” was created to be passed out at the non- profit’s business location, printed as an ad in local newspapers, and pinned on local bulletin boards. Because the Humane Society is a non-profit organization, spending a great deal of money printing advertisements for a charity event would not be practical, so we chose to print this flyer on professional quality, but not high gloss paper. This flyer would be seen by anyone living in the Waco area, and as such, its broad design appeal is meant to be highly informative, but not overpowering. All of the important information we were asked to include is given while still conveying a fun image.

Adoption Flyer The idea for this adoption flyer came from one of the ads the Humane Society displayed at their location. Their ad was in black and white, had inconsistent text and material, and had obviously come from another organization, as their information was not properly filled out. This flyer is meant to replace that existing flyer, and hopefully assist the Humane Society in maintaining a professional and organized appearance. This flyer would be distributed to anyone who wants more information about adoption, or is concerned about the financial responsibility of adopting a pet. We highlighted each of the different products or services that accompany adopting with the Humane Society of Central Texas, and then did some math to determine the cost efficiency of adopting with out client. This logical appeal should hopefully be effective when combined with the endearing image of the German shepherd that we selected at the request of our client. This document would work well in black and white, should our client determine that it is more practical to print it that way.
