1 Assessment Spreadsheet Community Signs Middle School School for Handicapped Justyna Ratajczyk Tools for Data Analysis Spring 2015

2 Target Audience P.G. Chambers School, Cedar Knolls, New Jersey Middle School teachers working with students with multiple disabilities Teacher assistants

3 Goals Middle School teachers will be able to : collect and organize data share and compare data easily pull out and print data when needed track and assess progress of their students

4 Time Frame This spreadsheet will be continuously worked on throughout the year.

5 Before Not visually appealing Cover names All the calculations made using a calculator No max and min No percentage

6 How it is done Alphabetical order using DATA tab on the ribbon and then selecting SORT command Used CONCATENATE to code names Calculated MAX and MIN using Auto sum tab and selecting max and min and using fill series Rotated months so they can be read vertically using Format cells- alignment, changed orientation to 90 degrees Calculated TOTAL using Auto Sum

7 How it is done Added comments using REVIEW on the ribbon, then selecting add new and comment Changed the width of columns Formatted cells using Conditional Formatting – highlight cells rules Formatted cells using Styles tab on the ribbon

8 How it is done Inserted pictures in the comment field : REVIEW – new comment – right click on the border – format comment – colors and lines – fill effect - picture Changed scores to percentage using = absolute reference, cell, /, max score I was able to insert a new column and a new row without changing the whole document by right clicking and choosing insert

9 How it is done Used freeze panes to freeze the first column with names Inserted a hyperlink

10 Graphs Graphed quiz scores Graphed scores from all quizzes for individual students Formatted graphs using Select Data option on the ribbon and Axes – Primary Vertical Axis – More Primary Vertical Axis – Axis Options
