2 What is the Consolidated Application (ConApp)? The application is used by California Department of Education (CDE) to distribute funds from federal programs. The reports serve as a way to monitor the use of federal funds and compliance with State regulations.

3 Funding Sources reported in the Con App Title I Part A - to ensure that all children have an opportunity to reach academic proficiency. Funding goes to district and sites Title I Part D – Programs for At-Risk, Neglected, and Delinquent Youth. Funding is provided to students from district.

4 Funding Sources reported in the Con App (cont.) Title II Part A: to increase the academic achievement of all students by improving teacher and principal quality. Funding used in central district. Title III Limit English Proficient (LEP): to ensure English learners attain English proficiency and reach high levels of academic attainment in English. Funding used in central district.

Title I Part A: School Sites – (in SPSA) Instruction Coordinators; Resource Teachers, Instructional Aides, Supplemental materials; Assessment & Intervention programs; Parent Resource Centers

7 How are Title I Part D Funds Used Examples of Expenditures How are Title I Part D Funds Used Examples of Expenditures Title I Part D : to improve educational services for children and youth in local and State institutions for neglected or delinquent children and youth so that such children and youth have the opportunity become or continue to be academically proficient to prevent at-risk youth from dropping out of school, and to provide dropouts, and children and youth returning from correctional facilities or institutions for neglected or delinquent children and youth, with a support system to ensure their continued education.

9 How are Title III Funds are Used– Examples of Expenditures How are Title III Funds are Used– Examples of Expenditures Title III LEP: Centrally managed Coaching and support for teachers High quality Professional Development (New ELD standards, Common Core); and Materials Instructional Aides for Duel Immersion classrooms.
