Rocks are found everywhere around us, but do you know what they actually are? The solid mineral which forms part of the surface of the Earth. Rocks are made up of 2 or more minerals and are mainly classified into 3 main groups, Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic

Igneous Rocks are formed when hot lava/magma cools down on the Earths surface. Mt. Rushmore Is a famous example of Igneous Rocks. This Famous structure has the faces of U.S.A presidents craved into a mountain. Examples: Granite and Basalt

Sedimentary rocks are types of rock that are formed by the deposition of material at the Earth's surface and within bodies of water.
