SAT/ACT In general: ▫Division I uses a sliding scale to match test scores and core grade-point averages (GPA). ▫Division II requires a minimum SAT score of 820 or an ACT sum score of 68. Test scores: ▫The SAT score used for NCAA purposes includes only the critical reading and math sections. ▫The ACT score used for NCAA purposes is a sum of the following four sections: English, mathematics, reading and science.

How the NCAA holds member schools accountable for their players academic progress It accounts for the retention of students as well as their eligibility each year Uses a complex metric system to create a overall number, by which the member institutions must remain above over a given time period There is a separate score for each sport
