Photovoltaics We will estimate the cost of a controller to be ~$200; various fuses/disconnects/ circuit breakers to be ~$80, wiring and terminations to be ~ $100, one 1000 watt inverter to be ~$300, one voltmeter to be ~$40. 3 solar panels @ ~$400 each = ~$1200. 2 L-16 batteries @ ~$250 each = ~$ 500. 1 – Controller/fuses/inverter/voltmeter = ~$ 720. TOTAL = ~$2,420.*
