2. Day One = I. Overview You are looking for several description/definitions of your career. You are looking for a brief history of the career. How did it start? Who started this career, or why did it come about? You must also find the outlook for your career. What is the likelihood that there will be a job for you when you graduate with the necessary certificate or degree? Where is this career heading? For this info., look at Bridges, COIN, Encyclopedia of Careers….and OOH. DOCUMENT BEFORE YOU WRITE NOTES!

3. DOCUMENTATION / BIBLIOGRAPHY CARRDS You must make a bibliography card BEFORE you write any notes. Citation examples begin on p. 30-32 in your Style & Documentation booklet. Look at the source & ask yourself, “Is this a book with one author? An editor? Is this a multivolume source? Is is printed by the US government?…Do this BEFORE you ask Mrs. Rains how to cite information. For more specific examples, see next slides.
