Assessment Without Levels From September 2015 National Curriculum levels are no longer used for statutory assessments. Schools are given the responsibility to develop their own approaches to in-school assessment.

AMAP:Mastery Steps 1-3 describe a Foundation performance. This would be the lowest level of attainment Steps 4-5 describe a Developing performance Steps 6-7 describe a Secure performance Steps 8-9 describe a High performance

AMAP:Progress LP – student is making less than expected progress across some topics/skills EP – student is making expected progress across all topics/skills MP- student is making better than expected progress across all topics/skills on their starting point in Year 7.
