The best way to prevent HIV and AIDS, is to spread knowledge and know the facts. HIV is spread by direct contact with infected blood or other bodily fluids.

Most new infections among young people occur by having unprotected sex - it means sex without using a condom. Another way is by substance abuse, the use of alcohol and drugs. The introduction of tattoos is also a way how the virus spreads.

The fight against HIV and AIDS will be much aided by taking responsibility and monitoring the behaviour and to motivate your friends to do the same

Answers You cannot get HIV if you just sit next to someone who has it. 2 There is no cure for HIV and AIDS. If you are HIV positive and have unprotected sex, you can spread the disease to others. 3 The only way to find out is to be tested. You cannot see if someone is HIV positive just by his or her appearance. Anyone can get HIV

Care of people with HIV and AIDS People living with HIV and AIDS, may for a long time look and feel good before the signs of AIDS emerge. People with HIV and AIDS deserve the same respect and support as anyone else does.

Big question? Why do some people treat others who are HIV-positive, so bad? There are many people who do not know the facts on HIV and AIDS. Feelings of loneliness, depression and anxiety can have a serious effect on the HIV positive person’s immune system.

If you are against classmates with HIV and aids discrimination, you violate their human rights. We must exercise Ubuntu - We need care and show support to people with HIV and aids, we need to treat them with kindness and understanding, just like you expect others to treat you. We can all work, learn and play along with someone who is HIV- positive.
