General Characteristics Relatively new to the area (1990) – Migrants Predominantly Mexican American and Puerto Rican Largest % change 1980 – 2000 is scattered Largest areas of concentration are in Louisiana (New Orleans) and west of Greenville Arkansas Many are of unknown origin
