6 Achievements - TFDA Accredited 1455 ADDOs by Dec 2009 Conducted inspections to identify sub- standard and counterfeit medicines in DSM Piloted surveillance system for food-borne diseases in three regions Conducted research on mycotoxin contamination in rural maize storage 6PIFWG Report to TRM Sep-2010

7 Achievements - PSU Completed ILS training in public health facilities nationwide Developed supervision guidelines for management of medicines and other medical supplies Developed strategic HR plan for pharmaceutical sector Finalised communication strategy to promote rational use of medicines among consumers 7PIFWG Report to TRM Sep-2010
