Take part ! Fundamental studies being done and decisions being taken For example, current working hypotheses: Silicon-based tracker Tracker radius ~1.5 m, tracker half-length 2.35 m Vertex barrel/disks with 3 double-layers, additional very forward disks Short (~1.4 m) endcap yoke with endcap coils for field return Many more choices to be made, e.g.: ECAL layout (dedicated meeting on August 7 th ) Tungsten or steel absorbers in HCAL ? Resulting coil radius and field QD0 inside or outside the detector ……

7. software development Lucie Linssen, CLICdp, (bi-)monthly meeting, July 21st 2014 7 LC software development => active area Significant progress being made with DD4hep Ongoing discussions/work concerning DD4hep link to simulation Tracking solutions to be used with the new CLIC detector model Ongoing discussions with FCC software development team FCC will (most likely) use DD4hep DD4hep link to simulation could be developed for both FCC and LC LCIO event data model is being considered DIRAC grid tool is being considered The use of Whizard for e+e- was also discussed
