Why Graph? Graphs are great because they communicate information visually Graphs help make complicated information easy to understand A graph helps get your point across quickly and visually

3 Things Needed on Every Graph: 1.Title 2.Labels on the X-axis and Y-axis 3.Key/Legend Age of Students in Biology

Why is a title important? It tells you what the graph is about Use numbers that are easy: 2, 5, 10 Make sure each line/space is worth the same amount Choose an appropriate scale

Types of Variables Independent Variable – the factor that as you change it affects another variable; found on the x-axis (MIX) Dependent Variable – the factor that changes as the independent variable changes; found on the y-axis (DRY)
