THE WINDOW SELECTION OPTIONSThe Window Selection Options are useful whenperforming tasks such as copy, move and erase.The window helps select groups of entities at the sametime rather then individually.This helps to increase speed and productivity.

THE WINDOW SELECTION OPTIONSLets examine each of the Window Selection Options.

THE WINDOW SELECTION OPTIONSWe will continue to use our sample drawing asa demo.

Set the current Layer to 0 Turn off Dimensions and Hatch layers. Set current by double clicking layer 0

Proceed to turn off DMENSIONS, HATCH BLUE, HATCH WHITE layers by selecting the light bulb for each.

LAYER 0 is now set to current and the dimensions and hatch layers are turned off.

Dragging the cursor from left to right in a down-ward direction will display the Crossing Window Selection Box.

Dragging the cursor from right to left in a up-ward direction will display the Window Selection Box.

Lets drag the cursor over the entities at right and see what happens.

Notice how the GRIPS for both the circle and square have appeared

As you can see the objects grips appeared using either selection option.

GRIPSSEE ALSO Lesson #14Window Selection Options and GripsThe blue squares which appear on all entities are calledGrips.Grips are precise points located along each entity.Generally, Grips are a quick way to edit entities.

By selecting the grip on the yellow circle its size may be altered.

Dragging the cursor will make the circle larger or smaller
