BELL WORK FOR TUESDAY:  [8 min] Quick Write Sentence Fluency  Look at your response from yesterday.  Rewrite your response to have long and short sentences purposefully.  Begin your writing with 3-4 long sentences and end the paragraph with 3-4 short sentences.  This will create a rhythm that builds up to you making your point about technology.

2. SSR  [10 min] Silent Sustained Reading  Review the norms on the window.  Remember the expectation that you are reading 2 hours at home every week.  Expect to conference with the teacher about your reading habits.  Lost? You will find the answer in a book.  [2 min] SSR Log  Record today’s date, # of pages read, and use a sentence stem from the metacognitive log on the window.

3. AGENDA  [4 min] Groups  Number off from 1-7  Find your group and sit with them (bring pen or pencil)  [4 min] Circle Map Set up  In circle map (printer paper) create F.O.R. and Focus Question  [20 min] Expert Folder  Each member in the group reads/interprets an article or image from the folder.  Create positive and negative side for each article/image.  Record information in color coded guide.
