2 MODEL SHOP REPORTS Purpose Reduce the cost of P2 Opportunity Assessments Provide enough information to conduct P2 opportunity assessments with in-house personnel Reduce the cost of doing OAs by contract Identify typical pollution reduction opportunities for specific shops/processes Catalog of Pollution Prevention Opportunities Guide one through the OA process

3 MODEL SHOP REPORTS Background E.O. 12856 mandated all bases conduct PPOAs Similar opportunities identified at different bases with different missions “Reinventing the wheel” at each base Duplication of effort Develop summary of available opportunities already identified
