Because good research needs good data The DCC lifecycle model, Exeter Uni, 18-19 May 2011 Funded by: Exercise 1 Individually and using the post-its, jot down a few activities you associate with research data management. Please list one activity per post-it. (5 minutes) Then, in groups, identify which of these you would be responsible for undertaking and which would be someone else’s responsibility. (place each post-it under the header ‘Me’ or ‘Someone else’. (5 minutes) Each group will feed back their list and responsibilities for discussion. (15 minutes)

For the latter, please indicate what kind of training and guidance might be most useful. (15 minutes) Each group will feed back their lists for discussion. (15 minutes)
