3. OBJECTIVE ONE: TURNING ON YOUR COMPUTER Turning On Your Computer Check to see if monitor is already on (light next to power switch should be an amber or green color.) If no light, turn monitor on. Check to make sure the computer is not already on. To do this: click or wiggle the mouse then wait to see if the light next to the power switch on the monitor changes to a green color; wait to see if the monitor screen stays black; or check the lights by the power switch on the computer/CPU to see if they are on/off. If no light is on next to the power switch on the computer, turn on the computer/CPU.
