Admissions – Important Dates Begin the application process one year before you want to enter the School of Pharmacy June-PharmCAS application available September – Last date to take the PCAT exam November 1 – Application deadline February – Interview/writing sample letters and denial letters mailed February – Interviews March - Admissions decisions Early August – Semester begins

Tips for Success Make choices that will allow you to make the best grades possible and take as many science courses as possible before you take the PCAT. Pre-pharmacy curriculum can be completed in 2 years. However, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy has reported that increasing numbers of students enter pharmacy school with at least 3 years of college work.

Tips for Success Continued Try to get pharmacy related experience Volunteer and community/volunteer experience is helpful— especially health care related experience. Get involved in student organizations at SIUE. The Pre- Pharmacy Association exists to help students who are interested in the pharmacy professoin.
