2 Co-operation and Working Together (CAWT) is a cross border health partnership, comprised of the statutory health and social care services in both jurisdictions in the border region of Ireland/Northern Ireland.

3 Enable health services to be more accessible within border areas Attract EU funding to support the development of ‘additional’ services, based on local need Innovate – pioneer new ways of delivering health services and improving health and social care on a cross border basis

4 EU Special Support Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (€6 million) 1996 to 2000: 7 project areas inc. acute hospital services, ambulance services, primary care, health promotion etc. EU INTERREG IIIA and PEACE II (€12.02 million) 2002 to 2008/9: 44 projects across spectrum of health and social care EU INTERREG IVA (€30 million) 2009 – 2014/15: 12 cross border of health and social care services Other On-going: NPP/Erasmus/Leonardo collaborative projects
