4 Project Description Wireless connectivity has become popular in our everyday life.  Technologies implementing Ad-hoc networks like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Zigbee are some examples. In this project we will be developing content delivery protocols for ad hoc wireless networks. Our team will be responsible to design and implement protocol-stacks (from physical layer to application layer) on the software define radio platform including GNU radio and USRP. Software define radio significantly lowers the barrier of wireless system design by moving the design from hardware to software.

5 Project Description USRP is a general purpose RF hardware which provides a low-cost, readily but versatile radio functionality. GNU Radio is an open-source software development toolkit which enables a variety of signal processing on the data collected by the USRP hardware. Using the C++ code and/or the related Python script we composed, we will define the operations of each layer and see how a wireless system works

6 Functional Requirements Video Streaming at 10 fps for a 320 * 240 screen. Number of users: Up to 10 simultaneously streams Maximum Bandwidth - 8MHz for USRP and 20 MHz for USRP2 Broadcast Range - 100 ft indoors
