1. At a glance

2.  A PACS upgrade to Impax 6 is slated to occur on June 15 th, 2009.  This upgrade only affects clinical or diagnostic PACS viewing stations (not CWS or AWS stations).  This does not affect the PACSWeb (Web1000) application nor its users. That application is slated to be upgraded in late summer/early fall of 2009.

3. Log in PACS (old) Impax 6 (new)  Personal user ID and password OR  Generic log on, such as dr, dr,  VUnet ID and ePassword (same ID and password as VUMC email account)  Generic log ons will no longer function.

4. Search for Studies PACS (old)Impax 6 (new)  Simple Search – add information to search fields  Saved Searches –  ”Search wizards” -user defined searches  Simple Search - add information to search fields  Advanced Search – define your search fields for a more in-depth search  Saved Searches -  “Favorite Searches” -saved advance searches  “Worklists” – predefined searches

5. Clear Search/Results PACS (old)Impax 6 (new)  Clear Search – conduct a new search or Reset search criteria:  Clear search results - select search results, right-click  Remove from worklist or:  Clear Search – conduct a new search or search Reset:  Clear search results - select search results, right- click  Remove

6. Display Studies PACS (old)Impax 6 (new)  Display studies - add search results to worklist and Display with or without prior studies.  List prior studies - access the patient prior exam list by clicking  Display Studies - add to Cycle list or Cycle to display.  Include prior studies using the Relevance button.  List prior studies - prior exams are listed in the TEXT screen Study List.

7. Reports and Text information PACS (old)Impax 6 (new)  Study reports are viewed using the report icon  Study information is viewed in the I-Box  Study information and report are displayed in the TEXT screen. 9. Changing viewing windows PACS (old)Impax 6 (new)  To exit the display window, close studies:  To return to the viewing area, Display studies with or without priors  Each window may be closed or reopened by clicking the TEXT button or the List bar
