1 Creech St Michael C of E Primary School Rewards and Sanctions Chart Rewards For good conduct, politeness, kindness, effort, high quality work etc. Rewards will be given consistently throughout the school but are age appropriate. IndividualGroup or Class Praise Stickers Housepoints (1 good, 2 excellent, 5 exceptional) Marking and feedback. One off treats Extra playtime Watching a dvd Games Pebbles in jar (working towards an agreed treat) Golden Time (Years R – 4) Certificates Praise Box (3 cards = letter home) Sent to headteacher Notes in reading contact diary Informing parents at end of day. SEN Star charts Liaison books Negotiated rewards Lunchtime Behaviour Pupils setting a good example sit on top table, win house points and gain stickers and certificates. House Reward Acknowledgement in assembly Position of house shields Winning team have time in supergrounds. Up to three pupils a week are given gold book certificates in assembly each Friday. Sanctions will be given consistently throughout the school but are age appropriate. The behaviours below may result in a yellow card with the sanction shown. If you receive 3 yellow cards in one day 11.15 to 11.15 you will be given an orange card. Write out pages of a dictionary. Write account of P.E. lesson. Reprimand. Asked for apology. Reduction of golden time. Loss of privilege. Last out to lunch. Work to complete at home. No reading book Time Wasting Lack of P.E kit Wandering around Pencil sharpening Failure to get on with work Disorganisation Thoughtlessness Fiddling Low level chatting Talking when an adult is.

3 Creech St Michael C of E Primary School Rewards and Sanctions Chart Orange Sanctions Behaviours we wish to discourage – medium level unless persistent. Sanctions will be given consistently throughout the school but are age appropriate. The behaviours below may result in an orange card with consequence of the sanction shown. If you receive 3 yellow cards in one day 11.15 to 11.15 you will also be given an orange card. Three orange cards may result in a red card. Each orange occasion will be shown by the writing of the child’s name on the board, followed by a tick. After three ticks the child will be given a card and misses a playtime stood on the “orange spot”. The card should be given by the child to the teacher on duty, who gives it back to the class teacher. Sanctions will be given consistently throughout the school but are age appropriate. The behaviours below are serious “red” behaviours. If you receive 3 orange cards in one day 11.15 to 11.15 you will be given a red card. Please refer to our behaviour policy. The head should be made aware of red actions and will decide whether parents and/or support agencies are contacted. Red behaviours will result in a lunchtime detention from 12.45 until 1.10. Names of children will be entered into a book. Parents will be notified of serious misdemeanours in consultation with the head or deputy. After three occasions of detention in one half term parents will be contacted via letter. Exclusion may be considered. Dangerous or unkind Vandalism, graffiti or destroying property deliberately. Malicious hurting, biting, kicking, strangling scratching etc., retaliation* BULLYING, running away. Insolence, backchat, swearing, disobeying adults. Costly Rude Telling lies Inappropriate
