We are going to practice writing! Everyone loves receiving hand-written letters
3
A Thank you letter An invitation Pen pal Letter, or just writing to someone to talk or see how they are.
4
We start out with a heading or a salutation at the top of the page for example “Dear Mom” is how you would start a letter to your mom.
5
The part where you write the message you want to send. After the greeting you will come down a few lines and start your message Example: “I miss you so much.” Don’t forget your ending marks!
6
The way you end your letter at the bottom Skip a few spaces after the body of the letter and that is where the closing goes. Common examples are yours truly, with love, sincerely
7
After your closing you need to write your signature below it. Sign your full name in cursive Example: Megan Dunkle
8
Place the letter in an envelop and seal it up On the top left corner of the back of the envelop right your name and address. That is called the return address In the middle of the back of the envelop you will write the name and address of the person you are sending it to, so the mail man knows where to take it.
