3 Colombia’s overview The oldest democracy in Latin America. 47 million people. 55% under 30 years old. 7 metropolitan areas with over 1.000.000 people. Colombia is the third friendliest country to do business in Latin America and the biggest reformer in the region, according to the World Bank. 96% of companies in Colombia are SME. (58% in commerce, 30% services and 12.5% industry).
