Proverbs 3:7-8

Proverbs 3:7 -- Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.

There is a kind who is pure in his own eyes, Yet is not washed from his filthiness. There is a kind— oh how lofty are his eyes! And his eyelids are raised in arrogance.

But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.”

1 Corinthians 8:1 -- Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

“For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding…. For wisdom will enter your heart And knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.”

Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser, Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning.

Psalm 19:7 -- The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
14
It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.
