1 WARM-UP What is the global division of labor? Why was the steam engine and coal so impactful in the Industrial Revolution? What encouraged the diffusion of the Industrial Revolution?

2 WHY ARE FACTORIES LOCATED WHERE THEY ARE? What is the goal of any factory? Profit = Price - Costs Profit = Price - Costs Geographers try to explain why one location may prove more profitable for a factory than others.

3 SCAVENGER HUNT As pods, you will receive 1 question to thoroughly answer on your answer sheet. Write the question on your response sheet Each response MUST be complete (define terms/explain) EX. Answer= Koala Bear  tell me what a Koala Bear is (Marsupial that lives in Australia and lives in trees). 1 person from the group will show me the groups response… once they receive approval (my stamp) the group will receive their 2 nd question and so on… 1 st pod that completes the scavenger hunt first will receive 2 extra credit points! HAVE FUN AND MAY THE ODDS BE FOREVER IN YOUR FAVOR!
