Annual precipitation: usually less than 10 inches. TTemperature: DDuring the Arctic winter the temperature can get as low as -60 Fahrenheit. TThe average temperature of the warmest month range from 50- 32. AAverage annual temperatures range from 10-20 Fahrenheit. Tundra

Physical features Tundras are usually rocky plains, but in summer months Tundras are covered in marshes, lakes, bogs, and streams. There is a thick subsurface layer of soil called the permafrost that covers most of the tundra and is frozen throughout the year.

Geopraphical Location: Arctic and Antarctic circles

Animals There are many different types of Mammals and Birds found in the Tundra. Some birds found in the Tundra include the Gyrfalcon, the Rock Ptarmigan, the Snowy Owl, the Ruddy Turnstone, the Snow Bunting, and the Tundra Swan. Mammals commonly found in the Tundra include the Arctic Fox, Polar Bear, Caribou, Norway Lemming, and Musk Ox. Many animals that live in the Tundra are white or have some white on them as an adaptation to blend in with the snow.
7
Plants Due to the harsh conditions and low amounts of precipitation in the Tundra, there are very few plants that can consistently grow there. During the summer months permafrost thaws and allows plants to grow. Usually the only plants found in the Tundra are small shrubs, Lichens, Cushion Plants, and Cotton Grass.

Marine Benthic Zone Water type: salt Temperature: usually very cold due to the fact that it is very deep and receives very little light or heat from the Sun.
10
Physical features: Dead organisms. Sand and silt. Ocean floor.
11
Geographical Locations: Marine Benthic Zones are located throughout the world’s oceans beneath the Pelagic Zones.
