Peacemaking, peacekeeping – international relations 1918-36 Building Evidence Project

Introduction The IB Diploma Exam requires a deep focus on the evens relating to “Peacemaking, peacekeeping – international relations” between WWI and WWII. Your job will be to work with your small group to compile evidence to clearly explain the events and details surrounding the prescribed focus area. Source-based questions on the exam will address these areas, so it is imperative that the information is robust and relevant. You will develop and create class notes covering: Enforcement of the provisions of the treaties: US isolationism – the retreat from the Anglo – American guarantee; disarmament – Washington, London, Geneva conferences

Process Per the Prescribed Subject 1: Peacemaking, peacekeeping – international relations 1918-36 it is important that we understand the background, content, significance, and impact of the aforementioned areas. Your notes should be thorough and engaging. Once you build your evidence you will need to develop an observation concerning the information. At the end course notes you will then analyze the observation and evidence provided. You will also need to perform an OPVL for two of the sources used in your research. Follow the following rubric to guide you.

Your PPT The PPT should: Slide 1 = Title slide Slide 2 = Observation Clearly explain the background/context of area and elements involved Clearly explain the content of each area Clearly explain the Enforcement of the provisions of the treaties Present the information in an engaging manor (pictures, maps, videos, ect.) Content is thorough, accurate, and relevant At the end of your evidence (notes), create a slide that analyzes your observation and evidence Include a work cited slide Perform an OPVL for two sources used

Due Date/Extension Activity PPTs will be emailed to bgbateman@cps.edu no later than 11:59 on Wednesday January 16 thbgbateman@cps.edu Each group will printout an outline of the PPT for an extension activity on Thursday
