Sept 2006: Announced to all employees that company health plan will provide discounted rates for tobacco-free members or members who participate in company sponsored smoking cessation program. July 2007: Implemented company-wide tobacco cessation program; removed 6 month limit of prescription smoking cessation therapies. January 2008: Open benefit; eligible employees receive $25/month discount. October 2008: Partnered with ACS to offer tobacco quitline to Walgreen employees and family.
