1 Values/Moral Issues/Dilemma Discussion Is my College Experience Preparing Me For Life? “What Should We Do and Why?” Stakeholders/Moral Actors – different perspectives Government Law (Equal rights, access, etc.) Academic Accreditation Entities Administrators – standardization; not just students/faculty Faculty – Tenured, not tenured or part time; vast array of disciplines and personalities; none of them “just teach” – do research, do “real life” work, etc. Students – need education, and jobs; are investing heavily in future success

What happens when the world often assumes, before you’ve even uttered a word, that you could be a failure—based on not fitting a given expectation…. Of course, education is expensive, but he notes that students do have a long time to pay back the money. "Getting student debt, essentially investing in an education, does tend to pay off down the line in higher wages, which you can use to pay off the student debt that you've acquired."

Choices—no right/wrong for this exercise; think of it this way:  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  Less adequate good more adequate/better Identify a fundamental moral/ethical issue What should the moral actor do?
