What roles will I play? The Student Coordinator role will be to - Provide industry recognized credential training Maintain consistent contact with enrolled SWTC customers Develop and maintain cooperative relationships between the Student Coordinator and Liaison Provide core services to SWTC and SWCC customers SWTC Student Coordinator Training

SWTC Student Coordinator Training Definition of Critical Occupational Cluster New Jobs must be 40 or more. Occupational Cluster must be critical occupation as defined by the Sacramento Works, Inc. The hourly wage must be $10.00 or more. For specific questions regarding the Critical Occupational Cluster, contact John Harden at (916) 263-3893. (Career GPS must be scanned into the SacWORKs Vault.)

At the Training Centers, no customer should be turned away. SWTC Student Coordinator duties are: Recruit, assess and enroll customers. Provide leveraged core services and scan into SacWorks system. Register customer into SacWorks and issue card SWTC Student Coordinator Training

SWTC Essential Duties Leveraged core services (cont’d): Provide access to copier and fax machines (set time limits). Provide access to computers for job search. Scan activities into SacWorks. Refer computer-challenged and ITA Scholarship customers to Career Centers after registration. SWTC Student Coordinator Training

SWTC Essential Duties (cont’d): Ensure all required documents, including the SacWorks Registration and Addendum form, are accurately completed prior to enrollment. SWTC Essential Duties (cont’d): After approval, inform the customer of training and start date. Create participation/enrollment in SacWorks. Verify that the case has been assigned to the appropriate staff in SacWorks system upon completion of enrollment. Set alerts in SacWorks to avoid soft exits. SWTC Student Coordinator Training

SWTC Essential Duties (cont’d): Complete the IEP template.IEP template Provide case management for enrolled SWTC customers. Assist customers with barriers to continuing training. Provide on-going coaching and job retention services. SWTC Student Coordinator Training

SWTC Essential Duties (cont’d): Document the customer’s status in the SacWorks case notes, on a monthly basis. Follow-up with customers for employment status up to four quarters after exit with brief case notes entry every ninety (90) days. SWTC Student Coordinator Training
