Welcome to my portfolio. I currently teach AP Human Geography and AP Prep World Geography at Forsyth Central High School in Cumming Ga. I have been a teacher for 14 years, teaching 10 different subjects on 7 different grade levels during that time. My dream was to be a high school history teacher, however I have never taught history class. I believe I have found my calling in Human Geography. I have a passion for how and why humans alter the world in the way they do. Human Geography plays a role in almost every decision humans make, from where to live, to what religion we choose to practice, to the job we choose to do. My goal has become for my students to see and understand those connections.

Jennifer Garner ECOMP 6102 Portfolio Future Goals I always have goals. I am not productive without something to work for. I am one of those people who have a “to do” list for everyday. I have some very specific educational goals I want to accomplish. Complete my Masters Degree from Lesley University Have 50% of my students pass the AP Human Geography Exam Rework each of my units to follow Wiggins and McTighe’s Understanding by Design Continue to be a teacher trainer in strategies, UBD and assessment in my school system Continue to LOVE teaching
