We ask that you do not share any information about students you may acquire while volunteering. It is an expectation that students are not discussed outside of school. Grades, behavior, and classroom interventions are all examples of personal information. At some point you may become worried about a student and we encourage you to discuss your concerns with the teacher, an administrator, or the counselor. Confidentiality

Your time here is valuable, so please do not try to deal with any type of discipline problems. These should go straight to the teacher. This is an area in which you should not be burdened. Classroom Management The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. ~ Gandhi

Volunteers who spend extended, independent time with students in schools are now required to review training materials provided by the Georgia Department of Education and complete a volunteer information form.
