Seasons The seasons are caused by the tilt Of the earth. The earth is tilted 23.5°. The tilt puts us closer to the sun or further away.

autumn Begins September 21 st or 22 nd Daylight gets shorter. The night time gets longer. The leaves can’t make chlorophyll. They turn red, orange, and yellow. winter Winter begins December 21 st or 22 nd. Day light is the shortest. Night time is the longest. The coldest season and it snows.

spring Daylight starts getting longer. Plants start to grow. Leaves start to grow on trees. Begins March 21 st or March 22 nd.

Summer Begins June 21 st or June 22 nd. Daylight in longest. Nighttime is the shortest. It has the hottest temperatures. Fruit and vegetables are ripe and ready to eat.
