Ⅰ. Reading Q: Which advert do you like best? Why?

Reading strategies: Facts and opinions To find opinions, look for adjectives (e.g. amazing/ attractive). Facts give information which is, in theory, true. (e.g. has an automatic focus) Now read the adverts again and find some “opinions” and “facts” in each advert.

Ⅱ. Writing. Now please write adverts in groups following these stages: 1. Make notes about the gadgets. 2. Note down any adj. which you can use to make the gadget seem even better. (e.g. amazing, attractive, automatic, brilliant, cheap, compact, convenient, durable, easy, exciting, fantastic, modern, perfect, relaxing, reliable, useful) 3. Use the notes and techniques to write an advert. Don’t forget to add some linking verbs.
