2. Why do we offer bilingual education? The premise supporting bilingual education is the fact that students bring 5 years of Spanish oral language to their schooling experience.

7. 2nd Grade Program Implementation 120-135 minutes 75-90 minutes 80-90 minutes * Newcomer students may receive Spanish reading instruction if below 2 nd grade Spanish reading level.

10. Exiting and Re-Offering Students Participating in the Bilingual Program follow the same Exit Criteria as students participating in the ESL program. ESL is not a transition program for bilingual students. Send supporting documentation to Emelia, when reoffering the bilingual or ESL program to M1 or M2 students.
