7 Common Nouns “Marty Preston is exploring the hills behind his family’s house with he comes across a beagle.” (cover) “Marty begins to suspect that Shiloh is being mistreated by his owner.” (cover) “Ma comes around to the trunk of the pine tree, unfastens the wire that holds the fencing closed, and lets herself in.” (73).

9 Stations In small groups, you will visit each station. You will write a sentence containing the number of common and proper nouns written on the post-it for each picture. CIRCLE the common nouns. UNDERLINE the proper nouns.
