Get Them Involved… Use technology as a means of testing their knowledge They have adapted to getting instant feedback Quía quizzes, Wikispaces, online computer games, WebQuests

Responsibility and Technology… Let them share their ideas Incorporate them in decision making processes In the classroom and school wide Find out how they want to use technology in your classroom

Adapt to the Natives… Make an effort to Adapt and Connect to with them! Be captivating and creative Connect to your students and the world they live in Give them a choice!

The Infamous… Cell Phone… The cell phone’s potential Messaging, downloading, graphics, pictures, web, video… Interactive lessons, quizzes, questions Be engaging! They are less likely to use their phone if they are more interested in what you are doing

Manipulating Technology… Programming Capabilities… Cell phones, ring tones, web pages, games and software Let them be hands on and creative…it’s in them Maximize what they know and you will learn in the process

Teaching for Tomorrow… We teach for the past…we need to teach for the future… Teach them for what they will encounter… technology capabilities of the future Get speakers to talk to them about cutting edge technology…tape it…put it on the web! How can you provide your students with the uses of technology in your classroom?

Understanding Their Language… Technology in school and after school Understand their language Cookies, blogs, wikis…. Create a technology rich in school experience for your students Their out of school lives are full of technology Find their interests…harness the power

Helping them evolve… Right now… They have no voice on their education Value their opinions and suggestions Major changes need to be made school wide and district wide Evolve with them…let technology serve a purpose in your classroom.
