Prior Knowledge Information Needed Show small clips or videos from United Streaming. Generate class discussion concerning these topics: stem cell research, gene therapy, restriction enzymes, human genome project. On one side of an index card, have students write a quick summary of ONE of the topics discussed and their opinion. United Streaming Videos Recombinant DNA Research (00:49), Genetic Engineering (03:12), DNA Repair (02:16), Biologix DNA Replication. Mutation: Negative and Positive Impacts (02:30) Biologically Speaking: Genetics and Heredity, Hunting Down the Genes Involved in Disease (03:34), http://www.unitedstreaming.com/ Generate a KWL chart based on the discussion to chart what students Know, Wonder and will Learn during the Dynamic DNA unit.
