2 MPSRReaction Control System 2 UCB, 26 October 2006 Repressurization Limits Thruster qualification levels (MR111C 1lbf thrusters) Steady-state upper limit: 450psi Pulsed upper limit: 400psi (Radarsat, Landsat 6) THEMIS operational upper limit: 400psi Pulsed qualification lower limit: 80psi Additional ATP testing on all THEMIS flight units to 50psi THEMIS operational lower limit: 75psi Required: Offload 0.5kg N 2 H 4 ( see next slide )

3 MPSRReaction Control System 3 UCB, 26 October 2006 Operational Constraints 10m/s Δν required by mission operations (0.5kg) N 2 H 4 loading requirement: 48.8kg ±0.2kg KSC fueling group scale accuracy: 0.2kg Precision weights used to increase accuracy further Conclusion: healthy repressurization margins with 0.5kg N 2 H 4 offload
