Promote employee socialization by ensuring that the new-hire is welcomed and valued. Educate new-hires about your company’s culture. Help new-hires define their work role & career goals in terms of the needs of your organization. List some legal ramifications of why having an orientation plan is needed for your organization. Develop and implement a plan to have all employees oriented.

7 Defining Orientation Orientation is a social and psychological process, as well as an educational one, that helps those in new situations to adjust and perform. It involves information and activities needed to develop knowledge and skills. It is a process, not an event!!!
